frequentlyaskedquestions

how do I get in touch?

just answer a few questions about your project and let me know where to reach you on the contact form, or email me directly here.

how does pricing work?

once we have decided we are a good fit to work together, I will design and offer you a custom quote proposal based on the requisites of your project, and your budget & financing preferences. once we've reached an agreement, the creative process begins.

how much do you charge?

to produce a project, I will charge a producer fee, generally between $2100-$4200 (per song), determined by the scope of the project, my level of involvement, and my producer royalty.

to mix a project, I will charge a mixing fee, generally between $750-$1200 (per song), depending on the the needs of the project.

of course, there are always exceptions, and various flexible & alternative financing options are available - all of which will be detailed in a custom quote proposal to you, once we've decided that we are a good fit to work together.

do I need to pay the full price before we begin?

no, not necessarily. usually, at least 50% of the total is due up front, and the second half may be financed over a period of time, the total balance being due upon completion of the project. together, we will come up with a payment system that best serves your budget preferences.

do you offer financing options?

yes, usually the second half of the total may be broken into smaller payments over time, to best serve your unique budget preferences. the final product will be delivered upon the payment of total balance.

do you receive a percentage of publishing &/or songwriting royalties from my project?

yes, but only if I have contributed to the composition or songwriting of the project, which is fairly common when I am operating from the producer role. my percentage will reflect my level of involvement in the composition process. this will be detailed in a custom quote proposal to you, once we have decided that we are a good fit to work together.

do you receive a percentage of the recording revenue from my project (aka a producer royalty)?

yes, if I have produced your project, I will request a rate within the industry standard range for producers (15%-25% of net recording revenue, also referred to as the "sound recording" or "master" royalties). this rate will be determined based on my level of involvement in the project and total of the producer fee, which will be detailed in a custom quote proposal to you, once we have decided that we are a good fit to work together. in some cases, I may propose to lower the total of my producer fee and raise my producer royalty, or vice versa, to best serve your unique budget and ownership preferences.

do you offer mastering services?

yes, professional mastering is included for all mixing projects. about 93% of clients have chosen my final master in place of hiring a third party mastering service (which, if within your budget, I will always recommend, because different ears offer different perspectives, of course!)

what is delivered to me upon completion of my project?

after the mixing and mastering process are complete and upon payment of total balance, you will receive full resolution audio files of final master versions of the full final, instrumental, and acapella, as well as the stems (separated by instrument groups). you will also receive final (unmastered) mixes of all versions, should you choose to hire a third party mastering service.

if I am producing your project, but not mixing it, after the production process is complete and upon payment of total balance, you will receive full resolution audio files of all stems (separated by track) as well as a rough production mix.
